Technology guide for nurses from the RCN

The Royal College of Nursing has published five new multimedia guides to help nursing staff utilise technology to complement their clinical practice. The RCN says that people expect health care to meet their needs quickly and be tailored to their requirements and technology helps to deliver these expectations, putting the power back in the hands of the patient.

The publications cover telephone advice lines (publication code 004 229), text messaging (publication code 004 230), websites (publication code 004 231) and telehealth monitoring (publication code 004 232) and an overarching guide (publication code 004 228).
